A Community of the Servant-Savior is located near the corner of Beltway 8 & I45 south. We are in the Presbytery of the New Covenant..

Located in the southern suburbs of Houston, Servant-Savior is a small, inclusive community. We are not a small church, but a big family. Our worship service is informal - you can even bring your cup of fair trade coffee into the service with you. We believe that people matter more than numbers. We, like you, are in process, and we are growing to embrace the process. While we take Jesus seriously, we take ourselves lightly. We are a church with many artists and seek meaningful ways to express our creativity - through dance, music, and visually in worship.

We are a church that is open to the Spirit of God, and have responded to God's call to us to be a garden: a place where seeds of hope may take root and grow. Believing in the goodness of God's creation, and understanding that we are called to be careful stewards of all the earth, we strive in all ways to be earth friendly.

We welcome people of any nationality, race, sexual orientation, or religious affiliation. As a More Light Church, we see diversity as one of God's many blessings to the community and we choose to further this understanding through our presence and actions in the world. Our mission is to promote justice, peace, and acceptance. We seek to share the Love of God with others and recognize God in them. We seek to strengthen each other in our individual expressions of God's calling and offer service, study and worship opportunities for our youngest disciples. Our purpose is to experience and share Christ's love with our community and others. If you feel God is calling you to be a part of a transformed and transforming community, and you seek to be faithful to God's call on your life; to help create a safe place in which to ask questions, to be closer to God and to share in community in a deep way, or if you are seeking faithful ways for your beliefs to take action; we invite you to join us.
We also sponsor a Servant Leadership School, an ecumenical seminary for the priesthood of all believers: classes where disciples of Christ grow into a community of faith willing to follow and serve Jesus Christ, wherever He may lead.
