No In-Person Worship During COVID-19 Season
Our Lenten journey this year seems like it will be rockier and more complicated than in some previous years, but we are still on this journey together. Session has decided that temporarily halting public worship is the wisest decision and most practical way we can love our neighbors right now.
We have confirmed that will not be meeting for in-person worship March 15th, 21st (S3), or the 29th. We will evaluate and announce dates for April and beyond.
The church building will be closed throughout the week for all meetings except for AA.
This Sunday at 10:30 am we will be gathering together online here as well as on the Servant-Savior Facebook page for Sunday Worship. If you cannot make it online at that time, it will be available for viewing afterwards, but there is something comforting about being together for a short time, even as we are physically apart , so please join us if you can.
Offerings can be contributed via PayPal or via postal mail to the church.
We pray that, during this time of worshiping apart, we will appreciate the gifts of worshiping together more. Please join us as we brave a new frontier together!
We Choose Welcome

An Affirming and Inclusive Church
A More Light Church
As a More Light Church, we're working toward the full participation of LGBTQ+ people in all aspects of our shared life–from ministry and witness via the Presbyterian Church (USA)–to all those parts of everyday life that constitute a dignified life. We see diversity as one of God's many blessings to the community and we choose to further this understanding through our presence and actions in the world. Our mission is to promote justice, peace, and acceptance. We seek to share the Love of God with others and recognize God in them.
I, who have been called to shepherd and share good news, know so little of God’s vast perspective. I seek and submit, I assume and acquiesce and at the end of the day, and sometimes even at the very beginning, the best I can summon is, “God is Love.” And God’s Love is enough, it is sufficient to see me through and thus it is sufficient to see you through…whatever and wherever this season of life offers.
We gather at the church to be renewed and reminded, to drink the cup and break the bread, to taste and see that indeed the Lord is still Good. We are strengthened for the journey and we are filled so that we might pour out ourselves. It is scandalous work that we do; these are scandalous claims that we share. I wouldn’t have it any other way. And I believe and hope you too can rest in the assurance that in the end LOVE WINS.
Kathleen received her B.A. in Religion from Baylor University in 1995 and then went on to earn her M.Div. from Yale University; Yale Divinity School. She is passionate about Reformed Theology, God’s active love, and the life of the Spirit. She is foremost a Jesus follower, and takes seriously Christ’s mandate to “love one another.”
Kathleen and her husband, Tim, have two children and live in Clear Lake. Kathleen is an avid reader, a PBS watcher, and a letter writer.
We have ample free on-site parking with easy access to and from I-45 and the Sam Houston Tollway/Beltway-8. We are also conveniently located on the 88-SAGEMONT Metro Bus Route (Hobby Transit Center-Almeda Mall-San Jac College) and our closest stop is Beamer Rd @ Hughes Road (0.4 miles south of the church).
Our church and grounds are fully ADA-accessible. Please don't hesitate to be in touch to enquire about any accommodations that might help make your visit more comfortable.
